Beyonce; If I were a Boy

The UK top ten is dominated by some serious eye candy for you guys; we have Girls Aloud 'The Promise', Britney Spears' 'Womanizer', Leona Lewis with 'Forgive Me' and Katy Perry with 'Hot 'N' Cold', however, the woman that has dived straight into the charts at number 2 with her new single 'If I Were a Boy' taken from her soon to be released album entitled, 'I Am ...Sasha Fierce' is Beyonce... or should I say Sasha Fierce?

Now, the subject of women switching roles with their men has been done before (think Ciara's 'Like a Boy'), but to be honest, Beyonce wins this one hands down as she mellows it out for this one.

'If I were a Boy'
was written by New York producer; Toby Gad ('Big Girl's don't Cry'') and San Diego's BC Jean. There has been a bit of drama surrounding this song as Fox News reported that Beyonce had in fact recorded the song without Jean's knowledge (to put it eloquently), however, neither Gad nor Jean have made statements to support this fact, so lets just assume they are sitting back enjoying the royalties from this beautiful track that reminds me once again of the true talent of Mrs Carter, minus her usual extravagance.
