Crumbs is Loving Brittany Murphy

Fifteen years have passed since many of us were introduced to a new girl on the scene, Brittany Murphy. It was at this time that this young woman entered our lives as the undeniable force that was known as 'Tai', an off-beat character in the cult-classic film, 'Clueless' (1995). From hearing Miss Murphy sing the words "rolling with the homies", to bashing out one of the film's most memorable lines in "Why should I listen to you, anyway? You're a virgin who can't drive", it was clear from the start that Brittany made her mark; She certainly was not going to be a one-film wonder!

Like a Star

Since her beginnings, Brittany transformed herself from an everyday young woman into a hollywood doll. Staring in several comedic films including Just Married (2003), Uptown Girls (2003), and Little Black Book (2004). The star's versatile acting style transcended into her more dramatic roles in Girl, Interrupted (1999) and 8 Mile (2002). Other memorable roles include her staring contribution to the thriller Don't Say a Word (2001), and in the ground-breaking action film Sin City (2005). Of course, these are only a few examples of a very long acting resume.

In recent years, Brittany married screen writer Simon Monjack and was happy to keep a low profile while enjoying married life. The young actress passed away on December 20, 2009 after suffering from cardiac arrest at her home in California. She was only 32 years old. It is with a heavy heart that we say farewell to a young woman who had much ahead of her; one who will be sorely missed by her family, friends, and fans alike. For showing us that she could be both kick ass, and sexy... Brittany Murphy Crumbs salutes you.
