'Going Home' is the quietly majestic debut single by South Devon's Jon Allen; fashioning a tumbledown, rootsy blend of folk, blues and country that succeeds in being much more than the sum of its parts. Fans of music ranging from Rod Stewart to Kings Of Leon will find plenty to enjoy here amidst the wide-eyed indie charm and Allen's nifty knack with a melodic hook, which bodes well for the imminent album release in early 2009 on Monologue Records.
