Trouble in China


Now is not a good time for China as Tibetans seeking independence have been caught up in a major protest where many lives have been lost.

The Chinese Premier and his aides are pointing the finger of blame at the Dalai Lama and his cohorts for the protests, the Chinese government say that the Dalai Lama is "trying to destroy the Olympics and damage China's international reputation". The Dalai Lama, in response, denies these allegations stating that he is in favour of the Beijing Olympics.

Obama's Rocky Road to the Whitehouse


It seems as if Barack Obama needs to choose his friends and associates more carefully as they are becoming a hindrance to his campaign for Presidency.

Obama had to step up and discuss his relationship to Tony Rezko and more recently gave an eloquent speech in response to his relationship with Reverend Jeremiah Wright which has been receiving mixed reviews. In light of these revelations of Obama's connections, both Clinton and John McCain have used this opportunity to secure seats.

Ghana Leads the Way Forward


African nations are stepping up to the forefront in the eradication of the plastic bag which is wreaking havoc on the environment. Many African countries have already banned, or are in the process of banning the issuing of plastic bags.

Ghana in particular has been creative with their mission to rid the country of these damaging and unsightly carrier bags; they are recycling the bags by stitching them together to make reusable strong carriers that are both stylish and eco-friendly. Devon has been the first UK town to ban the carrier bag and San Francisco, the first American state... if only we all jumped on this bandwagon.
