Royal Treatment Plant are set to release their new single Undercurrent in the UK on July 21st. The single is taken from their debut album Hope is Not Enough, due for release on July 7th. Continuing their growth that started in 2006, Royal Treatment Plant's sound has been described as forever improving, with each new song sounding more assured and on point than the last.
Produced by Teo Miller (Auteurs, Placebo) Undercurrent is simply a welcomed assault on the eardrums. The track starts of politely with lead singer PP softly singing over a racy guitar instrumental, before the track slowly builds in both volume and aggression.
Undercurrent brings together influences from rock, punk and pop to deliver a highly energized, dark but yet radio friendly track. With the strong vocals of lead singer PP over the sharp guitars and the bouncy drum beat, there is an element of uncertainness and an edgy feel to the track, which works well with the lyrics as the song is about the breakdown of a relationship.
Royal Treatment Plant have delivered another strong track that represents what they and their listeners are about. Undercurrent is a well produce track and is sure to generate more praise from critics and add to their ever growing fan base.
