"Luxury with an Italian Twist"
The Baglioni hotel is a five star paradise located in the upscale, bustling neighborhood of London's Kensington. The hotel is right at home nestled on the corner, opposite the world famous Kensington Palace and Hyde Park. The Baglioni is an elegant spot, Italian inspired, so you know that style is guaranteed and obvious in every minor detail.
Upon my arrival, I was informed by the receptionist that my room had been upgraded to a junior suite which meant all the more room for me to play around in.
I was shown to my room by the butler, yes, I did say butler, (every floor has its own) mine was in fact a female and totally opposite to my preconceived notions of a typical butler - Jeffrey from Fresh Prince of Bel Air or Max from Hart to Hart. My butler waved my room key in front of the lock to my door and as I step inside, my room and I instantly became one.
The 67 rooms and suites at The Baglioni are best described as beautiful; gold leaf print is a dominant theme giving you a Dolce Vita atmosphere, right in the heart of London. The telephones are from Bang and Oufsen and have every department of the hotel on speed dial, which saves you the time of trailing through the hotel brochure to find the correct extension.
The rooms also come with high speed internet access, an espresso machine, free access to a library of over 1,500 films and music tracks in case you run out of things to do; though I seriously doubt it as The Baglioni also has a spa, fitness suite, restaurant and lounge to keep you occupied.
The Baglioni is a very sexy place to visit and everything is dimly lit. In case you are planning on wooing your lover, the hotel can provide special touches to welcome you both, such as; strawberry's dipped in chocolate, a chilled bottle of champagne in your room upon arrival or if you really want to pull out all stops, you can request the use of the courtesy Masereati Quattroporte... nothing is too much to ask at The Baglioni.
Brunello Lounge & Restaurant

In the remote chance that the hotel alone doesn't satisfy you, Brunello, the hotel's restaurant and lounge most certainly will. With its blend of black and gold dr, a beautiful waterfall wall that separates the hotel lobby from the restaurant, the setting is very glamour / silver screen - there is even alfresco dining for those warm summer days and cool summer nights. The tables at Brunello are rather large and the chairs are in fact armchairs, which mean that you are sitting far away from your fellow dining companions, as if you and the other diners in the restaurant are all enjoying a group meal together in a private VIP club.
If you do plan on dining at Brunello, and why wouldn't you?, I would recommend you order the linguine with crab, spring onions and sweet chilli and remember to ask for a table by the window so you can relax back and watch the world go by... 2 words... simply Magnifica!
