The Samsung Omnia vs The LG Arena

The gloves are off, the stage is set, and the contenders are squaring up for battle. Both are touch screen beauties, both are equipped with the latest multi media applications, but how do they measure up on closer inspection?

Samsung Omnia i900

The Samsung Omnia has a 2.8" full touch screen which makes navigating your way around the screen easy. It uses the TOUCHWIZ UI interface, allowing the drag and drop feature and the audio technology is second to none; courtesy of Bang and Olufson.

The Omnia has a standard 3 hour battery talk time and 250 hours standby time so it's hard to use the excuse that your battery died. With internet speeds of 7.2 MB, the Omnia makes for fast web browsing. Managing to squeeze a lot into its tiny frame; (it is the size of a credit card) the Omnia is a very promising phone.

LG Arena KM900

Now moving on to the LG Arena, this one defiantly gives the Omnia a run for its money. It's flashy, fast and furious... just what you look for when picking a phone (or is that just me?). The 3D cube makes it easy to access different programs; you can revolve the cube and access your contacts, home screen, widgets and shortcuts. Enough about the cosmetics, on to the specs...

The screen of the LG Arena is slightly bigger than the Omnia at 3"; it has 480 x 800 resolution which means that it comes with four times more clarity than you get with other mobile phones. The LG Arena KM900 boasts to have PC like internet browsing and lightening fast WI-FI connection. www.uk.lge.com.
