From April to October Maida Vale welcomes its soon to be favourite temporary resident; The Summerhouse pop up restaurant. The Summerhouse is the sister restaurant of the popular Waterway restaurant, located on the banks of the little Venice. The concept behind this pop up restaurant is the New York Hamptons. The Summerhouse gives you pristine white decor, glass table tops and wooden tables; providing some beachside chic to the diners. The Summerhouse even has its own boat mooring space, so if you are taking a river trip, you can stop off for a spot of lunch directly on The Union Canal.

Providing some of the best seafood dishes, The Summerhouse menu is perfect for all seafood lovers; the starters include the 'best ever' popcorn shrimp with sweet chilli, prawn and avocado cocktail in bloody mary sauce, organic smoked salmon, capers and soda bread. For your main you can opt for good ole fish and chips or, my favourite, 'Moules marinere' aioli and chips.

If you are looking for somewhere to have some lazy summertime drinks, I would recommend The Summerhouse; grab yourself a table facing the canal, a Maida Mojito (an adaption of the Mojito made with belvedere vodka, fresh lime juice, sugar syrup and cranberry juice) and allow yourself to drift away to another world.
