The tension, the buzz, the excitement of who's up for the UK Asian Music Awards will be revealed on Tuesday 2nd February. Yes, the Gatecrasher club in Birmingham will be the venue for the UK Asian Awards Nomination Party. The event will be hosted by BBC Asian Network's Bobby Friction, with live performances on the night by the likes of Jaz Dhami, Mumzy Stranger, Panjabi MC and a host of other artists. 3rd - 26th February

BAFTA is hosting a month long series of events throughout the country in February. Highlights include a preview screening of the highly acclaimed 'Don't Worry About Me' and Q&A with director David Morrissey. There is also 'An Evening with Louis Theroux', the talented journalist and documentary maker and a showcase of short films, advice and talks on getting your short film out there and information on how films get financed in the UK. Friday 5th February

Get out and see Clint Eastwood's latest offering Invictus. It's a neat telling of the story of how the South African rugby team united a post apartheid nation with the help of Nelson Mandela (Morgan Freeman) and aided by South African captain Francois Pienaar (Matt Damon). Damon in particular puts in a great performance.

The Saatchi Gallery currently has an exhibition showcasing some of the best artists from the Indian subcontinent; The Empire Strikes Back: Indian Art Today. Over 26 artists will be on show including the likes of Subodh Gupta, Bharti Kher and Huma Bhabha. Entry is free. www.saatchigallery.com
