X-Press 2 returns with a re-release of their highly successful track 'Lazy' on the 22nd of November. With some new remixes as well as the original, they bring back memories to those who loved the track the first time round and those who missed it completely when it was first released are given the opportunity to see what all the fuss was about.
With David Byrne on vocals, 'Lazy' was at the time X-Press 2's first proper vocal excursion, released in 2002 it still plays just as well in clubs as it did 6 years ago.
The original track is simply a fun track. The lyrics are basically about being lazy at work, with girlfriend, with life. It is a laid back track with a laid back house beat to match.
The main focus on this CD is clearly the remixes as the original doesn't come in to play until track 7. The new remixes of 'Lazy' offer a variety of sounds and styles which X-press 2 has become famous for. It is clear that X-press 2 are trying to cater for all of their hardcore followers as well as the people who just loved 'Lazy' when it was first released.
