CFM's Style Guru, Christina Kamester returns; straight talking menswear fashion tips and style advice from our resident expert.

"Help! My work place does casual Fridays and I need to know what is an acceptable type of outfit as my casual may be a bit too scruffy."

If you’ve had a chance to scope out your colleagues then judge by what they wear. If you haven’t seen Fridays, what’s Mon-Thurs wear like? Is it all suits and ties, or is it more relaxed?

It was a night that saw the streets of Central London crawling with fashion hunters soaking up the stylish atmosphere, sampling the free champagne and checking out the latest collections from designers.

Since it was established in Somerset in 1971, lifestyle brand Mulberry has gone from strength to strength and is now one of British fashion's biggest success stories.

They have stayed true to their roots by maintaining the use of quality leather and combining it with authentic and practical designs that still contain an element of fun that British design is famed for.

Do you like vintage clothing but hate trolling through thrift stores and wearing people's castoffs?

Togs and Clogs is an ingenious website that carries an array of products characterised by a modern-retro touch suitable for anyone looking to spice up their style.

It's that time of year again, summer has barely arrived and the shops are automatically filled with winter collections.

But as every style-conscious man knows, autumn is a great time to start experimenting with the trends on offer for next season.

I am off on holiday in the next couple of weeks and I need some advice as to the best type of swimwear for me. It has been a while since I've even been to the pool.

I think it goes without saying the first rule is that unless you have the body of Adonis avoid budgie smugglers. The best thing you can do if you’re feeling a little insecure about flashing the flesh is to make smart use of accessories and prepare a poolside wardrobe.

Walk into any convenience shop and you are bound to find John Hamm on the front cover of a magazine dressed in the classic American suit that was made famous during the 1950's-1960's.  Hamm plays Don Draper, a top ad executive on AMC's hit show Mad Men.

“ITB is a footwear company that is inspired through the arts, culture, and metropolises around the world...”

To make it in today’s fashion industry you have to set yourself apart from the competition, and that’s exactly what New York footwear company, Inspire The Brand, are striving to do.

Set to launch in Autumn 2012, each collection will be inspired by different places from around the world in a bid to create innovative and contemporary designs for men and women.

"I like modern fashion, however I am also a big fan of vintage clothing. How can I mix the two without appearing ridiculously out of context or too stuck in the past?"

The key with vintage is not to do it head to toe – you are not auditioning for a period drama. So you are kind of in luck, as the trick with vintage clothing is to mix it up a bit, not to throw it all on in one go.  So choose your period and wear one or two vintage pieces, but mix it up with contemporary fashion to give it a fresh look.

Wear your granddad style 40s cardigan, but wear it with a fitted shirt or jeans. Wear your Don Draper style hat and vintage glasses, but style with a contemporary suit, scarf or shoes. The secret is to do vintage but with a modern, fresh take; you are not trying to recreate the past.

Even we can admit that the gift set can often seem like the lazy option when gift buying for a friend or family member. However, we have found some of our favourite options that can work well as a treat for you, or for that special person on father’s day and beyond.
